31st Young Portfolio Call for Entries
Please also note that the submission format has been changed to Google form and Google account will be required for application. If you have applied in the past please be aware that the system has been changed.
Young Portfolio is a program organized by the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (KMoPA) to support young photographers from around the world by acquiring and exhibiting their works for our collection.
Anybody under the age of 35 is welcome to submit their works. We are looking for works by devoted photographers who are passionate about their creative efforts.
It is not a contest where applicants are only eligible to win a one-time prize. Multiple submissions may be made up until the age of 35. We hope that by selecting works by the same young artist on a regular basis, we will help build their confidence.
It is the only program that exists in the world where it recognizes the true value of these young artists' abilities while simultaneously preserving their work for posterity.
Ever since the opening of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in 1995, the Museum and its “Young Portfolio” (YP) program have received support from the Shinnyo-en as part of its philanthropic activities. In order to open the door to an even greater number of young photographers, the application fee for the 31st Young Portfolio is waived.
